Neglected Tidbits (Ronald Vargas, Celebrity Game)
By: Dave Martinez | March 24th, 2008
Hey.
Sometimes I just pass on talking about certain things for no particular reason (example: Mendoza as a trialist, Marmol as a Red Bull - until it became interesting - stuff like that).
So here are some cool things happening in our world that you may or may not have already heard:
RED BULLS TARGETING RONALD VARGAS
MLSrumors reports (and please, dont give me any guff about using them as a source. this one seems to have legs) that Juan Carlos Osorio, under the recommendation of our very own legend Gio Savarese, has been hot on the tail of Ronald Vargas, the young Venezuelan international.
Who is Ronald Vargas?
Here is what you need to know.
+ He is 21
+ He is a youth international
+ He plays professionally for Caracas FC
Imagine that - we are attempting to lure a young prospect from down South to our little league. If this goes through, is it premature to say that the DP rule is making this league a tad more appealing?
Here are some videos of Vargas. Keep your fingers crossed.

Cool beans yo.
Did I really read Baggio playing in NY? I just want to see the divine ponytail once again and shower him with praise.
as far as Vargas goes, this is great though I will reserve enthusiasm until it actually happens.
I got nervous when I saw that pic - whos the 70s stud there? I assumed for a min that we were adding another over the hill player who cant run and gets injured a lot. But Vargas seems very skilled from the youtube clips which, as we all know, is the most accurate way to scout a player.

That 70s stud is none other than our very own Shep Messing.
And I am also very restrained in the enthusiasm department. Its the main reason why I didnt report on the Vargas thing earlier. Until its done, I cant get emotionally attached to this.

Let’s race to see who gets to the #1 spot first…GO!!
hehe I am such an idiot…
I don’t have many RBNY guys on my team…actually, just Altidore. My lineup looks like this:
Coundoul (captain); Peralta, CJ Brown, Boswell, Parkhurst; Edu, Gallardo, C. Gomez, S. Joseph; Niell, Altidore. Subs: Nyarko, Caig, R. Gomes. Coach: Kinnear.
My subs suck but I had no money…hehe…
