7/22 - THE SCUM v. RBNY
By: Dave Martinez | July 20th, 2007
OVERVIEW:
The Bulls are reeling, but maybe, the small possibility of a Dema return can infuse some life into this bunch. Meanwhile, The scum come to town riding relatively high as far as their most recent streak of winning ways goes, but reality has also smacked DC in the face in the form of injuries. Its going to be a showdown of WHOEVER IS LESS HOBBLED, WINS.
RBNY NEEDS:
+ DEFENSE. Time to step it up boys. I want to feel like all my bitching and moaning about losing Dunivant and Wynne were for nothing at all. Show me we can settle down, and defend against one of the leagues best attacks, and I am willing to sway on the trading issues we have had. Goldie has to pick the right spots to show his offensive prowess, Parke and Mendes need to be alert and injury free, and of course, Freeman needs to be the player he was when he first came here a little under two months ago.
+ DEMA. Like previous RBNY authors on this blog, I see no wrong with Dema.

The face only a mother could love.
+ WING PLAY. Where is that supposed depth RBNY fans fooled themselves into thinking they had? Wing play is needed badly, and either Schopp or DVB has to step up the service to the middle. I am sorry, but for everything Dane Richards is, a server he is most definitely not. If the mid wings cant do it, then send Freeman screaming up the right, and lets open the field up more, maybe even resembling a dreaded 3-5-2! Imagine! The horror!
THE SCUM NEED:
+ Defensive midfield, STEP UP. With Olsen reportedly out, who will play that RBNY antagonistic role?
+ A Quick Attack. The only way I see our boys losing is if DC strikes early. We have to stop Luciano and Addelry, Fred especially
+ To get laid. Because seriously. They are scum. And they carry that all day. Someone help these poor bastards.
PREDICTION: I said it before - 2-1 RBNY, on goals by Altidore and Mathis. Luciano squeeeeeeks one past Waterreus, who I believe, will be in nets.
Lets make it happen. See you guys after the game.
