TOP STORY: Stop dreaming about an “Escalada” for Red Bull. He was “discovered” by Real Salt Lake first. Of course.

- The Sports Business Journal had a great read on the renewal rates for MLS. Basically, the teams seem to be bucking the recession, but the Red Bulls were conspicious with their silence.

- Jozy has been loaned to La Liga 2 leaders, Xerex. Hey, its a quality D2 squad, where he will find playing time. I can’t possibly ever be against that! GO JOZY!

- Reports out of training camp are clammoring about Jorge Rojas. He has lost a substantial amount of weight, and looks very inspired in training.

- Philly.com takes a nice little rib at the Red Bulls while discussing it’s own teams name:

“The good thing is that there is a list of suggested names, so unless there is a massive and organized write-in vote campaign, we will not end up with some ridiculous name like “The Mighty Ducks of Philadelphia” or a complete corporate sellout like “New York Red Bulls,” i.e., Red Bull Energy Drink of New York.”

Nice.

- And finally, the Bulls are officially in Florida. Enjoy the weather boys!
