Another Road Loss: Crew 1 – RBNY 0
By: Dave Martinez | June 27th, 2009
If you caught Juan Carlos Osorio’s expression after his team let in yet another extra time goal, it really spoke to you. Anger, confusion, frustration, pain; it was the story of the season, captured in an image (and that is why I highlighted it here!).
Only the Metro Bulls would follow up an amazing header clearance of a sure goal with a lax defensive effort on the opponents only goal. Maybe Marshall did climb Jeremy Hall like a stallion, but that mismatch should not have happened to begin with. The teams inability to end danger in extra time has become as predictable as its results.
Three games into the second half of the season, and the Red Bulls are 0-2-1. They are putting themselves in a mathematically dangerous position. There are 12 games left in the season, and they need 30 points to even sniff their way into playoff contention. That means ten wins folks. The Bulls have only managed 2 in 18 games this season.
Things look very bleak.

Choosing between this team and a hot steaming pile of poop is a 50/50 call. Not sure which is less entertaining, more disturbing and of better value.
check that. 70/30 in favor of poop

I will be perfectly honest – when Osorio looked like that, I felt really bad for him. Really bad. Osorio is dying to bring some success to this team and just cant find the way anymore.

I’ve always been a staunch supporter of Osorio but I can’t anymore. His tactics are terrible. We were only down by a goal but we gave up trying to play anything in thru the midfield. We just started bombing in diagonal crossess and bad ones at that. Who the hell told Pacheco to take that free kick?! Seriously?! We’ve got one chance to put a decent ball in and that was the answer? OMG!!

What surprises me the most is that all year long we keep hearing that RBNY want to use the flanks and have their backs overlap and put in crosses. But then every time this happens in the game the crosses are going no were. That to me is the most painful thing to see.
Also I have to say I liked the Fox commentary much more than the negative and repetitive ranting of MSG. Fox was objective and actually tried to look at the positives too. So for once it did not turn of the sound.Posted from

When you don’t fire a coach like Osorio who has such a poor record (minus the lucky playoff run last year), it shows the players, you can play poor also with no repercussion. He’s lost the players, you can see it in the body language. Time to clear him out, clear out some players and make room for next year. Figo where are you.
