I hope that the baby bulls get a chance to impress. I just hope the backe listens, I have seen great flowing play from our baby bulls and disjointed unreliable play from our starters (with flashes of brilliance). Like Shane said though, this season is a re-building year, I think 2nd in the east is ok...

I think it spoke volumes when Backe said that he thought that we could win the MLS Cup NEXT year, and maybe this year. I think this is a rebuilding year for the front office, and that we just happen to be in second place right now in the East. But I still think that Soler and Backe are more concerned with next year than this year. And that anything good that happens this year, is just icing on the cake.

I was thinking about this yesterday driving 70 miles to Toms River to visit some family and this is my thought. RBNY with basically the same team was where last year. AWFUL. DREADFUL. So, they have now opened a new arena which is awesome. They added quality management. They tried to bring on better talent like Robinson, Nielson, Salim, Albright..but injuries have nagged them all. A bit of a risk that has not worked out yet. And now they added T. Henry and maybe another DP. And they probably will make trades/get rid of some of the baggage that came with the club. SO..at 8-6-2 and probably playoff bound, let not be content, but look at the bigger picture. The improvement is there and it will take a little bit of time. Enjoy the Challenge and then lets go to Houston and kick their orange asses.

With the early exit from the US Open Cup, I was afraid we'd never get to see Chinn or Garcia again. I hope they get the chance and really show something in the Barclay's*. The rest of the MLS schedule is no cakewalk, but maybe this will convince Coach Backe that the Baby Bulls can contribute.

*supporting the sponsor - sure, why not?
