Bargain Shopping and Myspace Pics!
By: Dave Martinez | February 17th, 2009As we hit a bit of a lull in the news department this morning, I am bringing back a feature that is very close to the heart of Crew’s blogger “Matt” – E-BAY WINNINGS AND MYSPACE PICS!
The economy being what it is, I feel it is my civic duty and obligation to show Footie Fans that deals are out there. And what better way to highlight your winnings than posing in front of a camera, making a face and showing off your purchase for the world to see!
Anywho, here are my latest winnings. Illlllll stuff is out there people!
My New Metro Jersey
I’ve been looking for this one a very long time. It was definitely the best jersey of its time (in my humble opinion – though the ones they would have used for 2006 were outrageously cool too). The best part? When I put the jersey on, it fit LOOSELY. That is a miracle for this 6′2″, 240 pounder! Even better than the best part? The jersey featured only some slight snags, and was a steal at $15!
I should be the Secretary of the Treasury with that kind of savings! Oh wait. I can actually USE Turbo Tax competently. I am out of the running.
I wish I could show you more of the jersey, but thanks to my camera being in the shop for 3 weeks now (Geek Squad), I am forced to take blackberry pictures only. And since the jersey is in my apartment, this wonderful Myspace style pic is all I have to show for it!
My New Jozy Villareal jersey
Again, these are the only pics I have, for the same reasons listed above. Here is the story associated with this one: I ordered the jersey online, since I had never seen it posted anywhere. The guy only had a 6-7 star rating, was from Thailand, and all of the comments left were eerily similar (”Great seller! Trust!”). Even with my intuition telling me otherwise, I jumped in on the purchase.
One week later, this guys E-Bay account was terminated. And that, in turn, makes him incommunicato. Lovely.
To my surprise, three weeks later, I receive a package from Thailand, and here are the contents; a beautiful (probably bootleg) Jozy Altidore Villareal jersey. Sweetness.
The price tag? $24!
The Elusive 2006 Metrostars Jersey
JUST purchased today! This is one I have been wanting for AGES, and it is now officially in the mail! SWEETNESS! And the price? $34, no shipping. EAT THAT RECESSION!
The shopping spree is over (for now) while I try to save up my pennies for an expensive year ahead. But let it be known people – savings abound!
But in the mean time . . . let me quote the newest generation of wrestlers in their own words. As The Miz and John Morrison (yes, I am 28 people) . . . . BE JEALOUS!
