Not at all Crazy.

But I dont think its just the Arenas philosophy, its the country. We REFUSE to throw kids into the fire, and when we do (Adu), its a media circus, and harmful to the development of the youth.

His head wont get to big. And even if it does, as long as he is playing well? Then its ok! Messi has an ego and a half! And he plays!

Arena thinks EVERY youngster is Eddie Johnson – cocky and underperforming.

At the beginning of the season Arena said that he would bench Altidore every other game (or so) after he started to become more popular in the MLS so that his “head would not get to big”. I think it’s bullshit. . . Arena doesn’t work well with youngsters (as you can tell from his WC2006 selections). I don’t think he’s coached a full on youth team since his college days. Now, it might just be me, but I think if Jozy was in the starting XI, the result would have been a bit different. Call me crazy. . .

Laurie – he is darned pretty with his Jaromir Jagr look!

Tommy – I dont get why the constant resting of Altidore. As an Argie, I have seen kids half his age thrown into the fire. It seems we are just to scared to do the same in the states.

But Waterreus is so damn pretty. Truly, to require more from a goalkeeper is unreasonable.
