Bull Market: Angel, Kandji, Cichero, Rojas
By: Dave Martinez | October 7th, 2008
As work continues to get in the way of my blogging and online trading, I figured I’de combine both for a new feature on The Red Bulls Offside (TRBO on your stock tickers) simply entitled “Bull Market.”
Much like our current financial crisis, the Red Bulls are falling down an endless pit of despair without a rope or cleaver to prevent the fall. Where as their stock was a B rating just weeks ago, performing at Market Level, skimming on the BUY side, the teams value has plummeted, and forecasters (me) are seeing a tough few weeks ahead. If RBNY (the Red Bulls Stock Ticker) does not start to see even the smallest of gains by Wednesday, this ship may be sailing towards SELL territory.
Here is the latest RBNY financial forecast, as of Tuesdays Closing Bell:
BUY
+ Juan Pablo Angel. (JPA). JPA is the oracle of this market, and has been largely undervalued in this bearish run. A stronger dependency on the Colombian classic will be needed for RBNY’s stock to ever rise. My advice? Keep stock in Dane Richards, but shift the focus of the attack away from him and back on Angels back (or wings). In this volatile time, its best to invest in what you know, the tried and true product.
+ Macoumba Kandji (MK). MK is a newer option to our stock market, but the future sure does look bright! In mere minutes time, Kandji has been able to impress with his presence, awareness and composure. A starting opportunity awaits the big man this Thursday at RSL. What a better way to be ahead of the market than to invest in the arrival of this young sleeping giant? A goal this Thursday will shoot his stock through the roof.
HOLD
+ Jorge Rojas. (JR) Market experts seem speculative of the left back, turned left wing turned central midfielder. In this teams state of flux, Rojas seems to be the universal question mark on this team. Some speculate the best investment is in the central midfield, while others are looking to dump this experiment out the same door as Taylor Graham. I encourage RB fans everywhere – stay with this investment. It will pan out. The problem isn’t exactly with Rojas – it could very well be the simple fact that he has played in different spots and has even been away from the team at key moments (like this Thursdays game). Don’t give up just yet. A round of international play may be enough to awaken this stock.
SELL
+ Gabe Cichero. (GC) As he begs for a shot at the Vinotinto starting lineup, Cichero should watch his back – that starting role on the Bulls defense may also be up for grabs, after nearly three weeks of mediocre to terrible performances. Cichero, who was once considered the saviour of this defense, has been made to look more accident prone than a blind midget at a urinal. Much like the Rojas theory, it is this analysts hope that Cichero awakens while on National duty, and returns the player we recall from August.
+ TORB. Yes, my own little website is on the downswing. After nearly four months of record numbers and participation, beating back even the summer depression, TORB is feeling the effects of the Bulls weakened market value, with readership drastically falling this month alone! As RBNY fans lose hope, TORB loses visitors. Co-in-key-dink? I think not. Sell stocks of TORB till the RBNY market begins to reemerge into a genuine Bull Market. But the brave investor will always have a home, right here, on the Red Bulls Offside!
We will check back next week with the latest valuations. Stay tuned.
And remember – there is always a Bull Market out there, you just have to go out and find it!
