Family First
By: Dave Martinez | January 14th, 2009Dave Van Den Bergh requested to be traded from the Bulls due to an undisclosed illness to his son. How does that work? Well, his wife is from Dallas, and, as we all know, it takes a village to raise a child. And that is just another example of the man DVB is. God Bless you and your family, Dave. Till the very end, you were and always will be a class act.
PS: Read the Spanish newspapers reporting this, and check out his monicker. His nickname on the Red Bull radio broadcasts, is “El Fantasmita” or “The Little Ghost.” Gotta love it.

I am a family kind of guy, old school in many ways. This made me miss em more. That is why I kept it so simple. That is a man folks.

dulls the pain.
Im always cool with players asking for moves for legit reasons like family or, to a lesser extent, loyalty to a team, city, fan base or opportunity to win a championship
this kind of thing Im cool with for sure. though we will be missing him in NY next year
