FIFA 08 – THE OFFSIDE CUP – DAY 1

Hey guys and gals,

I have a few league updates after day one.

No, I wont be bombarding you daily with FIFA 08 messages, but todays the first day, so why not!

The participation so far has been great – at last count, 20 people already signed into the tournament today, with others to follow shortly. If your groups participants are slow to register (as is the case in Groups F and B), I will be rounding them up shortly.

***** REMINDER: If a player is inactive for a period of 5-7 days, that person, under my discretion, will be banned from the tourney and replaced. I am FULHAM in every group – only GROUP A will play me. Other groups – I am the league MOD. *****

- I was told that Keane scored the hat trick to put down Chicago. Come on – who can beat that?!

GROUP G

eszo4 – Roma 1 – 0 Roven1 – Barcelona
- Biggest upset of the day. The invincible Barcelona shows a human side.

GROUP H

This has been our most active group of DAY 1.

And it looks like Aston Villa is well on its way to qualification, leaving the rest of the field wide open.
