FIFA 08 - THE OFFSIDE CUP - STARTS MARCH 12!

By: Dave Martinez | March 7th, 2008

Thank you to everyone for their input and participation.

I have received contacts from 20 of the 32 players. So if you havent emailed me a confirmation of your participation, do so at daveredbulls@hotmail.com or comment below. *smashingpinatas - I need an email that works for you. thanks*

We are starting the tournament March 12th. That is next week, Wednesday.

Group stages will be able to go off without a hitch. But we have found a slight problem - the EA Online League does not allow best of 2 aggregate series. So for the playoff format, we will be looking to possibly make each round a best of 3. Give us your input and ideas as always.

Again, here are the groups from the draw. Look over the rules (which may be modified as we continue).

I will also be giving groups their participants e-mails so they may keep in better and easier contact with each other.

This looks to be a boat load of fun! MLS season is right around the corner, and European football is at a fever pitch - what a better way to enjoy life than to have meaningful footy in real AND virtual worlds.

Good Times.

Wednesday I have a playoff hockey game at 8pm so I may not be able to pull it off. Possibily, after the game, I will be home by 10 (or not at all if we win).

If anyone is out in Old Country Road Long Island and they want to see some hockey, 718 (my team) will either be playing or getting WAXED by the Eucadians. Sportime in Bethpage.

You can see the picture of me making a ridiculous face (on purpose of course) =)

I would like to echo b-man’s opinion.

Why not have an offside video game blog and organise some competitions there? I’d be up for getting some Pro Evo ones going as I’m sure there’s a loyal PES fanbase floating around the site.
