FINALLY! Barcelona is CONFIRMED!
By: Dave Martinez | May 30th, 2008
Ok. I dont have to sit here and try to write a bunch of filler for this.
As part of their newly signed five year agreement with the MLS and SUM, Barcelona will clash with the Red Bulls in Giants Stadium August 6th! This may be your chance to see a little bit of Messi and the boys (as long as they arent on international/olympic duty!).
Tickets go on sale for the general public June 3rd. Season ticket holders have their games built into their plans (Yay for me and my 3 other guests!).
What do you feel about the news FINALLY being official?

Awesome. Its gonna be a blast.
I have my tickets! HA! Even if Messi and Jozy miss out with Oly duty, its still going to be a hell of a time.

I feel like a road trip from Michigan to the NYC area is in order

To prepare for the game, they’ll actually be training at my school which will be really cool and exciting (getting to see all these great players in person)!

Im hoping this is just the beginning. With Soros and the NY Lawyer perhaps buying AS Roma perhaps we will have a chance to see them here too!

Actually I go to Pingry in Martinsville. In 1994, we also the Italians came and trained at our school also. They gave us the money to build our “World Cup field” which we’d like to believe is the nicest field in all of New Jersey ;).

whoops… meant to say “in 1994, the Italians came and trained at our school.” I also forget to mention that four years ago we actually went over to Barcelona and played a few matches against their youth teams so that could be why they’re training at our school
