Follow DC United / Red Bulls Open Cup Here

By: Dave Martinez | May 20th, 2009

So I did a little digging, and found the next best thing to video . . . . RADIO! Join us in this time warp of media mediums, which certainly beats reading the damn game.

The guys and gals over at WTOP Washington DC were kind enough to respond to my inquiries and supplied the following information:

WTOP will be broadcasting the US Open Cup clash between DC United and their arch rival, New York Red Bulls. Click here to follow along with the game.

O siguen el partido en espanol. Clique aqui para todo la accion!

Now, from what I understand, the english link won’t work until game time. And that is at 7pm. Lets see how it goes.

Who looks out for you? That’s right – your boy Dave.

Follow along, share your thoughts in the comments section. Enjoy!

As long as JCO goes on the attack (none of the defensive play) we’ll get a win.

    Prediction: NYRB 2 – 0 scum

Dane & Mbuta off the bench.

    GO DONKS!!!

Fred apparently missed a clear tap in. Thank god. So far, the Bulls haven’t really produced much. Either that, or the announcer is that bad of a homer that I can’t tell. 10 minutes in.

Sorry, 8th minute. And DCU scores to make it 1-0. Gomez to Pontius on a corner who burries it in the lower 90 for the lead. 1-0 DCU

Boise scores on a one on one breakaway against Danny Cepero. Jeremy Hall got a piece of it as it went in, but it won’t be an own goal. Christian Gomez with assist #2.

    2 – 0 DCU

Brandon Bartlett scores – 3-0 DC United. Thank god I am only hearing this, and not watching. I was at least hoping this could lead me into TNA Wrestling at 9pm. Guess not.

Woly scoring opportunity, nothing. Namoff comes up big.

DM you are my boy! Yikes what a score! I am on the cycle at the gym which opens onto a soccer field park, ya gotta love Miami! I get great local argentine colombian, european, and central american talent as a live game 10 ft. in front of me while I work out. Remember doing Fusion on radio…it is cool for the imagination. Following Miami FC too as they have a 0.0 at half. Mi Amor has another RED CARD, double yikes, but those refs are blind I swear, lol!

UR2cute! Yeah been busy here, cookin up big pasta meals on game days for the players, and stuff. It has been HBH, hectic but happy. Fantastic to be back at Lockhart the original SSS, home of my beloved Fusion, and now Miami FC part time. Other part of year at FIU where Miami Barca was to play in MLS, sorry I brought that up! Still traumatized.
