FRANCESCO COKE-CO A NO GO
By: Dave Martinez | September 12th, 2007
Well, there go our hopes.
Francesco Coco has taken himself out of the football market:
“Three weeks ago I was sizing up football offers but I decided that, after a career full of satisfaction, I could not end on a lower note and I left the soccer world,” 30-year-old Coco, who picked up 17 Italy caps between 2000 and 2002, told Chi magazine.

So MLS is a “lower note” in his mind. Then we just dont need or want em. Go enjoy your reality show, which somehow, you think, will change peoples minds and perception of your blowy image.
NEXT!

THANKS TO OUR GREAT READERS NO LAYUP AND SHAZBACK! I had to do NO RESEARCH! And I loved it.

Coco @ RBNY would have been amazing. Even if he didn’t succeed on the pitch, having him on the loose in NYC would be worth whatever he was being paid.

THANK YOU MARTHA!
I have been saying the SAME THING about him and Fowler!
Bad publicity is still good publicity for my fledgling league!

Aren’t Folwer’s crazy days behind him, though? Coco is still going strong, as evidenced by the fact that he was attacked by a knife-wielding ex a month or so ago. He would go utterly mad in NYC.
(And it’s my league too, dammit. If I haul my ass out to East Freaking Rutherford on a regular basis, I want to be included.)

SORRY MARTHA! Didnt see the lil American flag on ur post!
But back to the topic . . . FOWLER. A few days in NYC, he will remember the good old days . . .

Awesome. I think we need to start writing letters to a small group of European ne’erdowells, extolling the virtues of NYC (oh, and RBNY).
