All the reports are that Gallardo and his agent have confirmed that he is coming to MLS but won’t say what team leaving all the media to speculate and insinuate. DC and NYRB are the most frequently mentioned, I’ve seen someone mention Dallas as possible and basically until it finally sorts out in my mind he’s going to either RSL or Colorado with Mastroeni to PSG.

ESPNDeportes and FoxNoticias are both claiming the same, except Fox throws in the DC curveball. They say that is the team of his choice.
Furthermore, someone else told me they heard on ESPNdeportes RADIO that JP Angel ruled out Gallardo from RBNY plans due to salary constraints.

Ill give you sour grapes.
But DC does get favoritism (ie international tourneys, signings and all that).
but like i said . . . this is all sour grapes.

How the hell is qualitying for an international tournament favoritism? Superliga was only blatant on LA last year and all other teams had semi-qualified (Dallas for leading the west, DC for the Supporters shield, Houston for winning MLS Cup and being whiny bitches and Chicago for winning the Open Cup than being kicked out because Houston are whiny bitches). All other tourneys had clear rules and we qualified. Actually having a front office with real scouting connections in Latin America does not equal league favoritism or else you’d have to accuse the league of favoritism to Dallas as well a claim no one would make.
The semi-legitimate claims of favoritism are strong arming Dallas to give DC the no. 1 pick for Freddy (who they then had to use it on, plus they had to give up an allocation which I believe the league later strong-armed Dallas into trading to LA for Ruiz so they could sign Donovan despite the established rules for players who left MLS and then came back quickly was that they came back to the team they left ie the Quakes) because he was too young to leave his mamma in 2004 and letting Olsen dictate that he would only play for DC if he was going to leave UVA early in 1998 despite their low picks.
