You guys see the Garber annoucements about next year?
No more reserve league
No change to the playoff format! damnit!
No single table! damnit!
Montreal withdraws from expansion running
Still not taking off the internation dates. Which by the way he said its because it would cost $5 million. Well boo hoo a whopping 5 mil suck it up!He did say there gonna try to spead the games out in june and july to “try” to better accomadate the confederations cup and gold cup. Possibly something like playing only 4 weekends during that time.
He also said playing the internation calendar would bankrupt the league…if you say so.
CCL teams wont play in superliga. Instead it will be the “ruuner up” teams. Which is kinda cool (i think), almost a little UEFA Cup. Only thing is the mexicans will still play their top teams. I think it would be something I could actuall get excited about if they made it a best-not-to-make-CCL tournament and opened it up a little bit more to other Concacaf countries.
Probobly the biggest complaint I have is no change to the playoff system and no single table.
Like 99.9% of MLS fans think the playoffs need to be at least reformatted, but nope. I would like to see the number of teams cut down to 6 at least but I doubt that would ever happen. But at very least fix the format. Two-legs through to a one-off final with the away goals rule would be a good start.
And as far as the single-table, maybe not next year because the league will be playing an unbalanced 30 game schedule. But in 2010 there will be 16 teams, that makes for a perfect 30 game home and away single-table. If Garber doesn’t go to it then, then we need to go pull his head out of his ass!

well that was disappointing, but i’m still extremely proud of this team for making it this far and giving us such a thrill the past 4 weeks.
if only woly had finished some of those chances in the first half…………… if only jiminez wasn’t so damn slow and cepero took the right angle…… if only…. ah, i digress.
