You do the same that LA did with Beckham, get the league exception thing (MLS WOULD DO IT FOR HENRY). MLS and Red Bulls now realize with a new stadium, and opening kick on ESPN 2 (Mar 27) that a top player in NY is a MUST. I also think it is time for the league to extend by at least 25 percent the cap to attract and pay the players a bit more, therefore the quality goes up, but the revenue can be made by the league and the owners.

Great question Ant. Red Bull actually have two DP slots available from trade. So they can actually fit both Angel and Henry (Claudio Reyna was RB’s original DP).

Say Henry does agree to join New York – What does that do to your DP? Are you basically forced to choose one or the other? I’m quite familiar with the MLS but know that Angel at this present moment is your DP. Just want clarifying on what would happen in that scenario.
