More importantly, depending on how the rosters change this winter, maybe the Red Bulls will be (hopefully) improved and perhaps beat the Rapids? Nothing like success to kick off a new stadium regardless of opponent. The rivalry games will bring in bigger crowds anyway, so why not use the stadium opener to bolster a matchup that isn't a necessarily a big draw? Isn’t this MLS’ call and not the team’s?
