Andrew – I would LOVE Ortega here. But he is SUCH an Argie that I couldnt see it happening. And the price tag, even for every argies fav drunkard idiotfutbolsavant, would be astronomical.

And to you and Nolan – I miss Guevara. And your right – the chemistry between Reyna and Angel is as ghost as the midfield was last game. But in all fairness, when you are trying to work an aged CDM to play CAM and to somehow gel with the teams most dynamic striker, and STRICTLY rely on that for a win – its fairly tough to do.

If we can sign Reyna for non DP money next year (1 more year at CDM would be good for our young guys), we should go balls out to get a CAM. We just kind of gave up by week 2 this year. CAM and a decent left footed back to compliment Freema ( who didnt have the greatest of games v. CHI) would be exactly what we need to win.

The thing is he would be valuable (though not DP-valuable) if the team had a better midfield. But he is not an AM, and the salary would be better spent on someone to play in a “Guevara” role.

Sure Reyna does little things. What like ever 5 games? Hes injured half the time. And plays like crap the other half. He has no understanding with JPA. Nothing but bad misunderstood passes between them last game. And for a player making that much money he has to do more than just little things. Bruce should have never have brought him AND should have never traded Guevara away.

fact of the matter is – if we dont come out strong against Chivas next week, we are in for a long season. CUSA is going to be a hell of a challenge, but we should be able to beat them, dont you think?!
