I’m In Amish Country
By: Dave Martinez | July 25th, 2008
Hey everyone,
So on our way to get some cheese steaks at the infamous Ginos and Pats in Philadelphia, we wound up in Amish Country.
Don’t worry - I will make sure I eat my fair share of assorted jams and corn for all of you.
Oh, and if Dave Van Den Bergh is reading, I will save you a slice of shoofly pie (is it really a Dutch treat?).
Have a great weekend!

I head home 2 morrow about 5 lbs heavier. The gym awaits!

Dave, good ol’ Jay Hernandez singlehandedly stopped your entire team from winning this game. I was there, hiding in the shade and trying not to drown in my own sweat. Oddly enough, I’m back in Oakland and it’s cold and overcast. Damn. Right, uh, did your new guys start playing yet? Cause your defense… whoa. And I counted at least two almost-fights on the pitch which if allowed to come to fruition, probably would have made my overpriced ticket worth the money. Either way, despite adding three new players, the Quakes offense is still terrible and now apparently they are after Pat “helmet head” Noonan. Sigh. To Quakes fans, I would call this time “the lean years.”
