Join the ESC – and Me – This Saturday!

WHO: Meet Mike Petke, Director Erik Stover and Blogger, Me (ok, I am no big deal, but hey! Why not!)!

WHAT FOR: The Empire Supporters Club (ESC) are the oldest and most vocal “fanatics” in the Red Bull Universe. They organize road trips, put together banners and streamers, and pretty much bring the noise wheresoever they go.

You may know them as the absolute nut-job lunatics that inhabit section 101.

Well, this is your chance to not only meet the faces behind the chants – its your chance to be a part of it! The ESC is taking new members this year, and they are doing it with style – inviting fan favorite Mike Petke and his “revenge is coming” t-shirt, along with the teams Managing Director, Mr. Erik Stover, for a short photo session and Q&A.

Now, knowing these boys and girls first hand, I can stand up and confidently say that you will be made to feel at home. Just don’t wear anything DC United related. And if you do, avoid the latino contingent, headed by El Flaco. Trust me.

Afterwards, take in the game as the United States (of MLS) takes on Sweden.

And if THAT wasn’t enough, hell, even your humble offsides blogger will be there, snapping pics, shooting questions and downing beers. How can you not show up?
