By: Dave Martinez | June 20th, 2008
ESPN Deportes recently opened up the floor to questioning with our ailing forward Juan Pablo Angel.

For the rest of you, here are some excerpts of note:
About Red Bulls and the USA. . . .
Why did you go to MLS? Did you feel too old? And why Red Bull?: To be involved in a unique project, because I think the league is growing a lot and because it is another phase in my career.
Asked how he feels in the USA : I feel very comfortable
Asked about how poorly the Bulls are playing, will they be able to go to the playoffs as they did last year?: Thats what we are hoping for. There have been many changes, not only on the squad, but in the administrative area which has reflected in the normal growth of the team, but we expect to correct this quickly and get back on level.
OTHER STUFF. . . .
About a return to Nacional : I would love to but I have commitments to the league and the team, that I am obligated to.
About a return to River: I would love to return to River and have always said they hold a special place in my heart.
About not being called up last year by Colombia: It gives me a bit of nostalgia, but like always, I support the team in the good and bad times and the players that are there.
About his desire to play with the Colombian Nationals: Of course I would like to come back, but I think the players that are there now, not only are they good but they are also of the ideal age to take part in the World Cup.
About his interest in playing in Mexico Liga: Yes yes, if there is a possibility, I would consider it, I think its a great league.
What are your future prospectives? First off, I dont like to look too far into the future, I want to play well, in this moment and after the future will come, whatever comes I would look into.
By the way, Juan Pablo and Reyna will not be playing against Dallas this weekend.

Very pleasant…he speaks eloquently in Spanish, as most Colombians do. I think it is important to note that the questions were posed from a person from Colombia regarding National, from Argentina regarding River and from Mexico regarding their league, etc. He was polite and diplomatic…as well as, respectful to his present bosses, coach, and employer. p.s. Viva Colombia, JCO, JP and Eche, y Forza Azzurri !!!
