I gotcha. In other news, SBI says JCO doesn't want to use the second DP, would rather use the extra cap room to upgrade players, which I think is smart. SBI also says he is hinting at trading it away for more players. And Rojas and Pietravallo are comming back.

Oh and RBNY wants DVB to take a paycut. DVB says he will head to europe before taking a paycut.

Chris, i am interpreting the situation like this:

The quotes seem accurate (based on the SBI quotes) but GolUSA took some liberties in highlighting parts of the story to MAKE it a story. I am sure JCO isn't happy with the current configuration of the team, and wants to make it very clear that the RBFO needs to have his back. But as far as him leaving? Its a bit of a stretch.

As far as "who is the target of his venom," he claims Salzburg over at Ives, but if you think about it, those are the guys that ultimately have final say, so it may actually be a correct assesment. There was a kid last season they tried to get off of a B team for Red Bull and they wouldnt let him go.

Lots of room for interpretation here.

Post is covering this also.

And may I add - its nice to get linked! Major props to Brian Lewis and Ives on the credit.

So I'm confused is JCO saying that he wasn't quoted in GolUSA? Because I doubt a magazine would resort to just making up quotes. And I you look at the quote...

"the club wants myself and Juan Pablo Angel to continue, but there isn’t much interest in reinforcing the team"

He clearly isn't talking about Salzburg, because because Salzburg isn't the end-all as far as reinforcing the team is concerned.

I did find this quote funny as hell though....
"the lateral players don’t attack correctly and can’t put up a good cross." LOL
