Matt Mbuta: Still A Red Bull
By: Dave Martinez | May 12th, 2009
A story broke out early yesterday that Matt Mbuta was loaned to the Richmond Kickers, but the loan time was unknown. Well, the mystery is over.
How long was the loan deal? Try one day.
TheOffside has learned Matt Mbuta’s game with the Richmond Kickers, a full 90 minute affair, was a one time deal. “Since I wasn’t on the A team last week, the coach decided to get me some time on the pitch,” explained Mbuta. “It was just for the weekend.”
Matt hopes that his efforts on the practice pitch and with the Kickers can translate to a larger role with the Bulls. “I am just waiting for the Coach to give me a chance, but I will come in here and continue to do what I have to do.”
So I guess Mbuta is still a right sided option for the Red Bulls. Share your thoughts on this below.

Well, with the way Osorio shuffled the line up this week, he may actually look towards Mbuta to supplement for Sinisa as a starter, and again, use Richards off the bench, who can always be the bench ace in the hole. I like Mbutas game; he compliments Kandji well the few times they have been fielded together.

Phew!
For a moment I was afraid Richards was the only option for the right side. Now, can we get a year long loan for Khano, for let’s say “Los churucatos”?
