Meet Stammler and Others At Nevada Smiths Tonight!
By: Dave Martinez | March 26th, 2009
The Sporting Chance Foundation is a charitable organization founded by Red Bulls midfielder Seth Stammler who’s aim is set to raise cash and awareness for the plight and living conditions of the Haitian people.
After a philanthropic trip to Haiti in 2006, where he saw the dilapidated conditions of Haiti’s infrastructure, and living conditions first hand, Stammler was inspired to put together Sporting Chance, with the intention of helping the Haitian people with the everyday struggles of their lives. Sporting Chance uses its donations to help the Haitian people with everything from creating fresh water well sources to basic educational needs.
Stammler will be on hand to promote his organization tonight at Nevada Smiths (74 East 3rd Ave (btwn 11th & 12th), and there may be a couple of other Red Bulls offering their support as well.
Sporting Chance is offering special wrist bands for $15 tonight, good for 3 hours worth of drink specials. The event will run from 7-11pm and it looks like it will have a nice turnout, with many of the ESC faithful expected to show up.
Head on down after work, hang with some good people, and give generously.
