Keep chopping. the problem with the redbulls in the past and with the MLS in general is the lack of scouting and of going out to discover. they'll hold open tryouts and expect players to come to them. i see it changing now and that's great news.

Thanks for the Miami Fusion shout out! We have tons of cool Argentines, so come on down. We should field a mix of Past Fusion, Internationals, and Miami FC players, then phase in the younger Miami FC, and move the stars to FO, marketing, etc. My Dream Re Opening Day 11... *Coach* JCO, *Asst* Zinho *Forwards* Ronaldinho, D. Serna! *Off. Mid* Del Piero *Mid* Sean Fraser, Requelme, Beckham *Def. Mid* Mastroeni *Def* Ty Marshall, Nesta or Cannavaro, Brunner *GK* Doyle, present Miami FC gk is good!

I probably haven't watched RB enough, but what I've seen of Etcheverry this year I hated. Dude was brutal and didn't seem to give 100%.

Mattews - hysterical as always. And thanks for letting me know I was linked.

CB - Borman would be atop the list. Ubiparipovic would be also.

Finally, NLR - I love close games. I do. But its been weeks of 1-0, 1-1, 0-1 mixed between 4-0 blowouts. Osorio manages to get the team to believe in itself, and, as you say, play competitive football. But that is the team at its best. And even the BEST teams in the world dont play their best week in and week out. So our best comes in the form of 1-0 victories, based on outstanding defensive effort, while our norm falls anywhere between the 1-0 to 4-0 loss range. As currently constructed, the team just does not have the talent to make a serious push, and Osorio says as much.

Miami Fusion anyone? Im down. (still buying that place by Miami Beach Martha!)

Dave- Laurie said in the Daily Dose that you're being figurative when you say "chop heads" but I think that a little blood might do this team good...thoughts?

nice post, dave. i saw the same quote from Osorio and thought: wow, coach is mad and players are going to get waived. your list of candidates is spot on for top three offenders. how can we leave Leitch and Wolyniec off the list of deadwood, though? and as for bench warmer saviors, wouldn't you include Borman as a hopeful with his brace of goals?

Great post Dave.

Im in total agreement. And in total confusion too it'd seem.

Many games for 80 mins we often see an undermanned and, lets be honest, undertalented squad playing with major effort and being competitive. Often that missing 10 mins costs us 2 points or 3 even.

However you've got to be impressed with the effort.

some games.

in the other games it seems to me at least that this team is neither ready to play professional football nor even perhaps ready to practice at a high level. no chemistry, no IQ and no effort.

How can this be the same team? Well sadly it happens all the time, take it from me, Im a knicks fan and they are the kings of that shit.

However what gives me hope is that Coach "O .. snap, he didnt say that!" is not willing to throw these guys soft balls or paychecks they dont deserve with IQ and effort every night.

I predict major turnover this mid-month and more to come. For better or worse since the talent pool is so limited. However Coach O...verseas scouter seems to be inclined to think outside the proverbial box and do what needs to be done to make this team competitive. I hope the franchise is smart enough to stick with him.

Cant wait to see Rojas come to town. Petravallo too. What Ive been reading makes them seem real professional footballers of quality.

Perhaps JPA will have some company finally.

Ps. Dont we get another big chunk of cash to spend this summer since Renya will be off his contract? Or does the cap not work like that?
