What are the chances that we can have all our transfers settled and the team back to full strength and on track by July 19? I've got tickets to the Galaxy match and am taking a bunch of people who still have not forgiven me for taking them to the Chicago match.

Joseph, well stated. And Conway isnt the problem. But recalling Cepero wouldnt hurt. I may have been harsh with Conway. He doesnt deserve to lose his spot by any means.

On your point of searching in different markets, I was writing an article around the time of Francis Doe's departure. There was a small uproar in the African tabloids and blogs about Doe being cut, stating how vital he was for his country in qualifiers, scoring key goals, and playing exceptionally well in foreign markets. But MLS as a whole doesnt invest in those markets. Its a fairly legit argument, though the Revs are bucking the trend (as usual it seems).

The problem is that the market here for those players and interest in them is considerably small, right or wrong. So it may be worth it to look towards and Argentina, which is well respected amongst hispanic populations, instead of Liberia.

Seriously Dave, Conway is a solid keeper. He's shown that time and time again, I'm not sure we need to throw him under the bus yet.

Our problem is that the only player on the team worth a damn is Dave Van Den Bergh. As a frenchman reeling from our friday the 13th loss against the hated dutch, it's hard for me to say, but it's true.

Let's face it, the only time our offense has looked credible is when we have had JPA, Reyna and VdB all in attacking positions.

Richards and Boorman are strong and fast yet lack technical vision. I agree with you call for Freeman to start. He's shown himself a capable right winger, but I do think that Goldthwaite isn't a good choice for LB.

I do think Osorio has a real point in pushing 3-5-2 on giants stadium turf makes sense, as the speed of the ball and the tiny size of the pitch makes it that you need more midfield support and that 3 defenders are enough to keep a tight back line.

Point is, let's get the credit card out, take a card from the Rev's agenda, and take a trip to Africa. They got Gambia, but Egypt's leagues are relatively untapped. I want a Dube type striker to replace Altidore. Hey, let's even get some press, and be controversial. Iraq and Iran all have good players that might play in America...

Thats why I qualified it a bit - bring up Cepero to make the competition a bit healthier. Conway has been good - but honestly, the way the team has been playing, everyone should be put on notice, and all efforts at competition at all positions would probably benefit them. I dont mean to bring down Conway - he has been player of the game a couple times for me already. But more needs to be done, and everyone should be made to feel uncomfortable with their current situation. More needs to be produced.

Cepero? I think Conway has done a fine job under the circumstances. Apart from one of the goals against Chicago, he's not been the person responsible for the horrendous defending. We have problems all over the park. Goalkeeping is the least of our worries.
