VOTE: The Metro Bull Player Of The Decade
By: Dave Martinez | November 9th, 2009
It has been a long and sometimes unforgiving decade for the Bulls. They played in the highest of highs (an MLS Cup Appearance) and the lowest of the lows (2009), suffered extreme anguish over injustice (Diallo, Petke is still gunning for you), and extreme ecstasy (Mathis - those 5 goals were a thing of beauty). Many players have left a positive impact and footprint on the organization. Those few have gone above and beyond the call of duty for this team.
It is in this vane that I have compiled a list of 12 stand outs of the decade, and a fill in the box for people to add their own write in vote. These are the players that did the most to positively contribute to the teams overall successes, and it will be up to you to vote and decide who the face of the decade will be.
I will be randomly reposting this poll for the next 7+ days or so (depending on response) and will make an announcement of the winner shortly there after.
Pass this poll along to all Metro Bull fans who want to throw in their two cents!
I really would like a consensus ranging from the hardcore to the casual fan.
Let your voice be heard! Who is your Metro Bull Player of the Decade?

Oh maaan, this is hard. Hey just for reference, do you want to add the seasons each spent with Metro and relevant stats? Goals, assists, games started, minutes played, any other major awards/accomplishments?

The two write in votes so far? Savarese and David Roth. Roth was the man . . .

My vote goes to Clint Mathis. JPA has been a revelation obviously, but Mathis for me is the ultimate Metro over the past decade.

Dave, I think you made a mistake, Khano Smith isn’t one of the choices…
Also, don’t want to get too far ahead of myself here, but would be interested to see poll results for who on the current roster people think would most likely could potentially be player of the decade 2010-2019?
I would go with…Borman?
