The Bulls currently have a trialist in camp - Argentine defender Guillermo Imhoff. So free agents are always welcomed!

And I already started perusing the Maxim list - GOOOD LOOKS bro. Great stuff.

good article. Honestly I like that the coach demands quality and calls people out on it. Leitch is supposed to be one of our vet leaders and he cant make those kinds of mistakes.

Whats the status with the rules for adding players? Can we do it still or was there a deadline? Is it only players without contract now, or am I making that up?

NLR - two cents always accepted and admired.

The more you say it, and the lesser our options, the more it should be one. A Totti role may suit him.

btw - saw him post game and he had a bad limp. Noticable.

We do agree on one thing - defense does build champs. Even when I am playing video games, I emphasis D. Always. But the argument can be made Midfield is more important. So who knows. But our team as currently constructed needs a few tweeks before we are a consistent contenders.

Great article on BAS - they quote Osorio ripping into Leitch for the final tying goal. Check it - http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/article.php?article_id=13755

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything Reyna has done, but Shalrie and Jeff own the defensive end of the midfield for the Revs when they line-up against him. It's a tough match-up for the guy. Jozy was awesome - can't ask more from the him. As for the red card... I don't know. I thought it was a yellow at best. For what it's worth, I think the Revs played just as well without Castro.
NLR - one more thing -
I have an interview with David Roth coming up tommorrow around noonish time or so - and I asked him THE RED BULLS WILL WIN THE MLS CUP IF . . .
You will love his answer.
dont know if the quote thing works here or not ....

anyway i cant wait to hear what the answer is.

I agree a playmaking midfielder is crucial.

But the reason Im always harping on defense is because my personal philosophy demands it. I just believe that in every sport defense makes champions. Conway has been solid but we seem to lack speed in the defensive line, though clearly that wasnt our problem yesterday.

Its notable that the only goal we conceded was via set play and off some bad coaching {8 in the line}

also notable that the only goal we achieved was vis pure one man play by Joze.

I repeat that I believe Angel has to play a "totti-type" of role for us. He can attack and be set up constantly as hes clearly the best and most aggressive striker we have. However he should also drop back some and look to set up others since no one on our team and almost no one in MLS seems comparable to his football IQ, playmaking ability and natural instincts.

Hey Ken -

Yea, Ive been to the first couple of games as well.

I thought Reyna looked great the first half. The second half he was a ghost.

And I am a HUGE Guevara supporter. And to not get a person of his caliber who wanted to return is perplexing. He would have been the solution to our season.

Good to see ya on Ken. Sorry for the spam filters - they are ridiculous. But always check back and I will approve your comments.

I am missing the next game, but will be there for KC. We have a long way to go brother . . .

Hello Dave,

Went to the first two games and watched the third. I think of course the RB goes as far as JPA, but cannot understand why everyone is saying we need more defense and a defvensive midfielder. The problem as I see it is we need a good playmaking midfielder to distribute to JPA and Jozy which has been the case for the last few years. No team can win as you see in the league without it. I am sorry but am I big Amado Guevara fan and watched him play and he looks great distributing in their 2 victories. I think for the money he wanted and no one else available it is STUPID for the organization to not have anyone like him. Leitch SUCKS, Borman cannot control the ball and stamler in the middle is not the answer. We must go to south american and get two aggressive playmaker who can feed and attack like Joseph of New England. We won the first game and no goals given up and only gave up a fluke to New England of course Leitch was at fault (as usual) he SUCKS. I hope we can find some new midfields soon. Reyna is too old.
