REAL MADRID TO FACE RBNY?!
By: Dave Martinez | February 12th, 2008
THE SPANIARDS ARE COMING . . . .
Sorta.
Real Madrid is trying to secure a game against our beloved Bulls some time this summer. Much like Barce the year prior, Red Bull is looking to impress and have a good time against one of the best clubs in the world.
A shame it isnt Bayern Munich . . . we pwn em!
WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE?!
Some people would like to think that this game would be a great proving ground for Jozy Altidore - a front and center stage to perform for perspective scouting.
Fact is Jozy will be busy touring the world with the USMNT and, barring any such bad luck, will be front and center for Bradley and crew instead.
What does that leave us? Well, for one, a high octane, fun environment for our boys to perform. A sold out stadium (mark my words) in the middle of the season is always a fun highlight too. A chance to see the best players in the world. Ya, this does have its advantages, even if our Chosen Son Jozy wont be there.
Hopefully Osorio and his defensive wizadry will make this game a bit closer than the 4-1 shalacking handed to us by Barce. But, in the same spirit of that game, he will also let the boys just play.

Oh absolutely. http://www.soccerbyives.net
Ives is the official informant of MLS for the most part. Damn, I usually cite my sources too!

Hey Dave, I was playing Fifa 08 on XBox Live today and there was a new squad update. It’s really cool — they updated rosters, player and team ratings, lineups, formations. They even updated MLS teams with the new signings and predicted lineups (Babayaro’s already on LA). You should do it if you haven’t yet.
