VERY disappointing in the result, happy with the potential. Henry, I would give 7 out of 10. Great with the assists, effort, hustle, extremely angry he did not finish off the break away and the 2 yard pass from John Paul Angry. RBNY should have sealed that game by 2 or 3 goals. And Backe. He made awful decision to not sub earlier. Should have gone defensive after 80 minutes. Tchani and Lindpere were pushing too high and not closing down in those final 10 minutes. Well, we get Marquez now, so a win is a MUST at home v Toronto before LAG game. Toronto is awful on the road and anything LESS than 3 points is disgusting.

Solid match from TH14 tonight although his finishing was a bit rusty. Was anyone else in awe that MSG was squeezing in commercials in the middle of the match?!?! WTF!?!

So I think we’re all in accord about this? 1) We need to enforce NYRB before we even think about a second team 2) We need to get people interested enough to actually watch the one team we already have 3) I personally think that The MLS needs to encourage tge construction of Soccer Specific stadiums so it doesn’t seem as If we’re watching a rec league.

Why do we need 20 teams, because EPL has 20 teams. I do not oppose another NY team (in a perfect hypothetical sense as London has inner city clubs), but first priority needs to be a) more quality on the pitch = keep at 18 teams b) have RBNY fully established selling out most games, increasing fan base etc….there should be NO rush to add more teams and even considerablly less of a rush to put another in NY area.

If you guys are talking about something like an Islanders/Rangers thing that really wouldn’t work. Sure LI has the south shore where the minority is the majority, especially Brentwood where the Boys HS Varsity team was ranked 1st nationally BUT the money is just not there for the minorities to make every game. However, if we keep it at one team we can still draw from LI plus the NYC area. I don’t think diverting a scarce market to two teams be in our interests or the interests of MLS either.

3. The All Star game needs some changes. Some of the players played in Concacaf games the night before, thus reducing the skill level of the starting team. Also, half of those guys do not deserve to be on the same pitch as Manchester United and they are: Pearce and Alston were awful. Le Toux was invisible. Conde, Moreno, Pappa, and probably Larentowicz.

4. Buddle did not even play. I thought JPA looked very good, same for Joseph, Davis too though he only played 15 minutes. The rest average. Maybe Ferreira and Morales did okay.

5. Move the All Star game to a Sunday night. Garber you jerk.

1. If I had a choice, I would not have another club in NY.

2. You cannot have relegation. Potential owners would not want that RISK of demotion. It just doesn’t work here in USA.

I live on Long Island and I’m just starting to get into MLS. I’ve been a Palermo fan, yes the Pink guys, for my whole life but having a team 40 minutes from my house to support would definitely be a great addition. What channel on IO would I be able to watch our games on?
