this game made me want to puke, eat it, puke again and then poke out my eyes for good measure.

Its apparent that without Angels talent and game IQ we dont have much going for us.

The defense was terrible - how many times did our men lose Alvarez? Seriously!!

On top of that the offense had zero flow to it at all. Zero. No playmaking beyond Renya who was limited.

Overall I have to account for Altidore's injury, the rookieness of our team and soem simple bad luck.

Its also worth noting that the ref is clearly biased, facist and Ill add a racist to boot! Where were those non-calls on the offsides? Where was the penal for Altidore? Where was his fucking head?

A few bright notes ...

Echeveery had a bad game but I think hes a solid player. Hopefully he will replace boorman in the lineup once Angel is back.

Conway was amazing. He couldnt be faulted for either goal and in fact saved several goals with incredible skill. I was very impressed with him.

Red Bull possession - even though we couldnt score apparently and were dumb as stumps to the counter attack we at least showed some ability to control possession after the first few miserable mins.

In closing Ive chosen neither to gouge out my eye or feast on defecation. However I will be very upset if we cant put this alleged high power offense to some use soon.

And why is Vanderberg playing defensive position? WTF is that? I know we missed a defense via red card but seriously - that was a terrible use of him.

#1 - Reading this over - I didnt mean to be so harsh with Borman. What I meant by my rushed one sentence comment was that he is a rookie, and we cannot expect flashes of greatness (which he does have at times) to be there 90 minutes. He is a rookie with alot of learning to do and jitters to shake.

#2 - I got really f'n lucky with my MLS team. Gian - its EASY this year to go pointless for a week. I had both Claudio Lopez and Ivan Trujillo, thinking they would be in for some huge points with two games against reeling teams. Lost that bet. 4 pts between the two of em. Fact is, even when you get points, they are small, and you really have to have a few great weeks in order to succeed.

#3 - CL - Didnt mean you are always online - I meant DC GOT SPANKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I expected you to be on here! ;)

poor gianfranco. I got eight points out of my squad, and I was really annoyed...then I looked up an my captain, saw 48 x 2 = 96 points, and went ballistic.

My fantasy scored ZERO POINTS!! ZERO FUCKING POINTS is that even possible, I geuss you could have negative points, but I mean come on!!!! As for Altidore he is only 18 but even in the Olympic qualifiers he looked flat and uninspired. Maybe he is nervous about moving oversea's, maybe Arena really was the man for Altidore. It is still early but he is a huge piece of a succesful RBNY puzzle.

Of course I'm here. I always am. I swear I do have a life, it just doesn't seem that way. ;) Proud to be a football nerd, man!!!

oh I'll deliver the thank-you note right to the front office. I think while I'm there I'll comfort poor Jose Carvallo. Making your MLS debut as GK on turf like that, with a squad like that in front of you, with three goals scored on you that were completely impossible to stop (second one was semi-his fault, first, third and fourth weren't), you are in serious need of ice cream, right?

Well it made me feel better after that last round of MLS games.

cmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmon gunnerz. I need a good Man U beating today.

Andrew - sorry bout the damn spam thing. Stoopid machine.

But Altidore did disappear this game - he wasnt able to carry the offense. He is just 18. And what he has done so far is fabulous.

I think his feet are still planted rather firmly on the ground. But not an inspiring performance, I agree.

Berger - dude - I caught one here in forest hills - a Danleigh Borman cross that is.

NATO - Love the name - thats 1.

Second, I cant be THAT hard on Borman. As I said - he is a rookie. And its his first away game. He is probably jittery.

I also noticed that DVB would have Borman wide open and decide to pass it anywhere but to him - and that happens. Especially if you feel he cant produce on the ball.

We cant blame the offense so much since its Altidores first game back from injury, and Eche's second game in the league (notice Woly created opportunities)

Overall, nothing to worry about.

And whether rookie or seasoned vet, it was an out of wack game with a make shift line up - everyone had their mistakes. No biggie, we shall bounce back.

PS: I am rooting for Borman. I really think he can become a great player (at least he isnt afraid of taking chances)
