I’m surprise the Red Bulls didn’t take Paul Gerstenberger with the 29th pick. He’s from upstate NY and left footed. I’ve had the opportunity to watch him play for the last few years in the PDL and he’s a solid player. I think it says something that the Crew took him with their first pick.

I remember Lalas as a great USA player, running down the field, hair flying like a Braveheart warrior…but nowadays, apparently he is not always admirable or correct. I think JCO however, has earned our respect and admiration, so we should allow him THE TIME to assemble the team and THEN judge. Like Michelangelo creating a work of art, dont look until its complete!

well those seem like solid picks. But Im always suspicious of draft scouting reports. they make everyone seem too good to be true.

But a talented left wing playmaker who has scoring ability? Nice!

A big, African lefty defender? Also very nice.

Seems like we are rebuilding from scratch. Hopefully we can figure a way to make it all worth while for Angel and watchable for the fans.

Ya, I definately think the club is younger, faster, and more athletic than last year. But we will wait to see if that means more wins.

I can’t help but cringe when I hear that “With the first pick of the first round of the MLS SuperDraft…..”

To me this is the epitome of the americanization of the sport.
