Roundup! Goalkeeper Rumor, Enar Jaager, RBNY v. Army, And More . . .

Good morning my peoples! The Red Bulls world continues to buzz heading into the opening of Red Bull Arena! And before we get into actual team news, take a look at this piece of beauty, courtesy of WCBS 880AM:

- GOALKEEPER RUMOR: Word around town is that the Bulls are in the market or close to signing a foreign keeper. Now, that can be double speak for “Greg Sutton” or they may actually be looking at overseas options. I will keep you informed if I hear anything else on that note.

- ANOTHER ESTONIAN: Enar Jaager may have gone back to his homeland of Estonia, but don’t think he is out of the Red Bulls sights just yet. The continued hampering injury of Chris Albright has forced the hand of Red Bull, who expected the three time all star to have recuperated by this juncture, according to Brian Lewis at the Post. This has made Jaager’s signing a more tangible affair than pure hearsay. Here’s to hoping he dons the #68 (for my Jagr/NHL fans out there).

- NOT GOLDEN? The same article states that Kevin Goldthwaite is no where near ready for the season, as he continues to rehab. That puts two dextrimental defenders on the injured reserve with the season just weeks away.

- RED BULL FACE ARMY: The Red Bulls will be scrimmaging against West Points finest on March 29th. Yes, it is ARMY SOCCER taking on RBNY in a friendly that is sure to be explosive (I couldn’t resist). This Army showdown, and all its details, can be found at this link.

- RBA REDESIGN: Red Bull Arena has a new look . . . in the virtual world. They have reformatted the old site and updated it to streamline with their marketing campaign. Check it out here. My opinion? A bit too busy. But what do I know?
