TFC wasn’t that great of a team the last 2 years but on the positive side…
we got their team MVP and their backup keep to backup our keep

I for one had seen enough of Cepero. He was OK but had some serious positioning issues. I have zero memory of Greg Sutton even though I’m sure he’s been on the field in games I’ve seen on TV over the last 5 yrs. I guess thats because I was always routing against TFC. I think that works in his favor in a weird way.

Good luck to him. I hope he impresses when he gets the chance & I hope its not too too often since I support Bouna all the way.

Mike, no one said a bad word about him. What I stated above was truth (with a little humor of course!). His record doesn’t inspire confidence. Can he succeed? That is another question entirely. But either way, he is a Red Bull and will be given his chance to prove himself to a new audience that enters the fray perhaps a bit skeptical.

In other words . . . WE DONT PLAYA HATE PLAYA!

And Jozy – that is where my mindset is at.

I don’t think it’s a brilliant move, but I doubt it will be an outright disaster either. Sorta depends on what we are paying him. Decent keeper and adequate competition for Bouna. Pretty clear that this is a position where they don’t want to spend a lot of resources right now and they are pretty happy with the understanding between the keepers and defenders that has been developed in pre-season.

I never understood the Cepero love. Had a great couple of games in 2008 but that’s about it.

not a fan. i’m sure he’s not cheaper than Cepero and to me at least doesn’t seem to play much better either.
