The Bet: YOU v. The LA Galaxy Blog
By: Dave Martinez | July 15th, 2009
Beckham this, and Beckham that!
Tell me you aren’t sick of hearing it? Hell, ESPN Radio not only announced Leo Krupnik’s signing as an anecdote to defend us from big bad Becks and friends, but they don’t even mention the Galaxy by name! It is always “The Red Bulls play Beckham tomorrow . . . ” UGH!
This is your chance at redemption.
A bet is ON with the LA Galaxy bloggers (Jen and Nate – who have already posted on this). I know the Bulls only have two wins on the season, but that just means they are due, right?!
Anyway, much like my wager with Laurie at Seattle, the winner will get a chance to post whatever they want on the other parties blog.
Sweet.
I am asking you to send me some photoshops of Beckham or the Galaxy that will leave the Gal’ fans blushing. – Send your entries to daveredbulls@hotmail.com and you will get full credit for your “art.”
Here is one of my favorites from the Sounders wager:

Get the idea? Good.
Now let’s get it on!

They actually said, “the Red Bulls play Beckham tomorrow . . .?” That really chaps my hide! I am excited about what he can bring on the field — touches, passing, free kicks, and work rate. NONE of the rest is welcome. We are sick to death of it, and have been for a while.
And yeah, wager on!!

You’re just not gonna let that Drew Carey photo die, are you? 50 years from now, you’ll still be pulling it out and posting it.
P.S. Come up with something really, really good and really really anti-Beckham!!!

Like the Seattle game, the immense creativity of the long-suffering NYRB fans will go wasted. Not unlike most of the effort that Angel puts in every game.
The Los Angeles Beckhams are an improving team, better than the one that beat ya’ll a couple of months ago. Don’t expect miracles out of this game. Better wait for a visit from New England. Or San Jose.
Oh the smack talk.
Feel free to burn up the comments here or get on my case over at lagalaxy.theoffside.com.
But it won’t change the outcome of the game.
