The Dead Bull Revolt

By: Dave Martinez | August 18th, 2009

Devastated by a season of woe, reflected in the attendance numbers, fans have begun a revolt. The “Dead Bull” revolt. Screaming fans have been calling for the heads of Juan Carlos Osorio, Jeff Agoos and the removal of Red Bull ownership since the embarrassing loss at home against the lowly W Connection, and the subsequent silence from the Austrian Overlords. From booing in the crowd to the comments pounding the organization on the Red Bulls official blog, the message has been loud and clear; something needs to change! Yet there has been no reaction from the top of the organization to this mess.

So fans have begun to pound the message home on a visual medium.

Here is a t-shirt from our reader Mike. :

Or some images from the last game:

Now how long until we see this in 101?

IDk if anyone will be interested but this Thursday(8.20.09), Red Bull Salzburg is gonna play in the UEFA champion’s league at RedBull Arena(AUS) at 12:30 AM on Fox sports en espanol.

Would be interesting to see how they play(probably better than NYRB), who knows, maybe the owners will be there.

    :D

I bought the shirts off ebay at the end of last month and was really hoping to get them in time to wear last Saturday, unfortunately they didn’t arrive until yesterday afternoon. If you’re looking to get one, allow about 3 weeks for delivery.

A true fan would not attend anymore games. If they draw over 2,000 people for any game, I will be in shock and disgust. This is NOW the only way to show the club management that disregard and disrespect for its fan base will not be tolerated.

What is so disgusting about this franchise? It is that the only professional soccer club in the largest metropolitan area in the united states has been so poor over 14 years in the most diverse, most crazed soccer/futbol/football fan base in the country..to have a club, an organization, management.. to care sooooooo little about success is mind boggling, inexcusable, and MLS needs to act now. You cannot have a fully successful league without a very competitive NY team, hmmmm..imagine London with bad clubs, can’t happen there, shouldn’t happen here. You think a star player from elsewhere wants to play in Columbus, in Kansas City..in Portland, no sir, they think about Chicago, NY, or LA first.
