The Laughing Stock Of Professional Sports

By: Dave Martinez | August 17th, 2009

Bad enough that the team has been stinking like two week old underwear on a 400 pound man, now the main stream media is taking jabs! Yes Metro fans, the Red Bulls are truly the laughing stock of sports:

From SNY:

Red Bulls: Hey fans! Futility has a new home. With Saturday’s loss to Chivas, the Red Bulls are now on a 14-game winless streak. New York has won just twice this year, has lost 16 times in only 22 games and is assured of the worst season in franchise history since 1999, when they were still the MetroStars and our innocence in MLS was still fresh. Next up for the Red Bulls: Dallas at home. Predicted attendance at Giants Stadium: 30.

And this guy probably hasn’t taken in a soccer game – ever!

Though not putting in an easy sitter was quite a crime on Woly’s part this past weekend, it just went to sum up an inept 2009 season (but please, leave Woly alone – he has probably been the hardest working player on the field this entire season). The teams confidence is shot. They have very little fight left. Just watch how many times players were laid out on the floor and unable to get up – that should tell you the story.

When will the pain be over?

More thoughts later today.

C’mon Dave, the laughingstock of pro sports is like the LA Clippers or something. I think it’s might egotistical of you to claim that title for RBNY.

    ;)
