The Morning After . . .
By: Dave Martinez | July 23rd, 2007So, we wake up this morning, grab our cups of coffee, stumble to the bathrooms to relieve ourselves of the gallons of beer and tubs of chicken wings we devoured while watching Becks, Cuat, and our beloved RED BULLS ROLL - and to our delight, this is what we see -
RBNY - FIRST PLACE - AT THE HALF!
Well, sorta . . . .
W L T PTS
New England 7 3 6 27
New York 8 6 3 27
Kansas City 7 5 5 26
Columbus 6 5 7 25
D.C. United 7 6 3 24
Toronto FC 5 8 4 19
Chicago 4 8 4 16
With a makeshift D, and wingers that are streaky like a college school boy, somehow, we find ourselves, at the half, in this position of POWER. I dont want to comment much more on that, since I am an experienced Metro fan and can only expect the worst MIGHT be looming somewhere . . .
SPECIAL THANKS
Jon Conway and Wolyniec. Our unsung heros
PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Joe Vide. What a job he did filling in.
The GOAT(s)
Our midfield. Where has Dane Richards gone? Where did those powerful runs go? Has he taken a page from the Eddie Johnson I-will-advance-to-the-mouth-of-the-goal-only-to-inexplicabely-stop-hold-and-lose-the-ball playbook? Reyna was rightfully taken out after a consistent, but overall slow game. Better than prior weeks - not good enough for NY.
What did you guys think of the game? Let us know!

I think Vide is a quality player who will continue to improve with more playing time. I agree with you on Dane, what happened?! I am so primed for RBNY making a run at this thing but the Dynamo look unstoppable. As the new RBNY blogger I want to say nice work and please start bashing the Revs as well as DC.
