THIERRY HENRY : DREAMING NEW YORK . . . ? Could be a reality . . .
By: Dave Martinez | October 17th, 2007
Thierry Henry, once again, has stated his desire to play in the United States.
In particular . . . . New York.
Big thanks to Ives, who is absolutely the most reliable source there is in the MLS. When is he ever wrong?! Especially when he gets it from the Times!
Love ya.
This is not the first time Henry has expressed interest in our little team. If you can recall, last year, Ives broke the story of how Henry was having serious discussions with Youri Djorkaeff about MLS and the experience he had playing here. Thanks Youri. We needed the referral. We miss ya.
Ives speculation of a 2009-2010 debut, just in time for Red Bull Park . . . Ah. Cream Dream.
Take a read for yourselves folks.
And tell me what you think. I mean in todays MLS, anything seems possible . . . .

I alternate between adoring and despising Thierry Henry. I am currently in “adoring” mode, till he pisses me off again.
He was described by an anonymous teammate last year as having a “melon énorme” and the description definitely fits. And yet occasionally he can be so endearing, as in Saturday’s France-Faroe Island games when he was so good to the younger players when they scored.
He’s not the player he once was, but he’d still make hash out of most MLS defenses. And as of today he’s the all-time leading scorer for France.
And oh. That accent.
I mean…um…yeah. Soccer skills. Mad soccer skills.

Oh, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him in MLS, but not any time soon. He’ll definitely go through Euro 2008 in Europe first, assuming France qualifies, and possibly through World Cup 2010.
