UGH! Tweeking the pre-game.

Ok, I was quick to jump the gun, and like my night in A.C., I have had no luck at this prediction stuff.

First off, Conway is in nets.

Secondly, Dema MAY come on as a half time sub . . . .

So, after a day in training, what does Ives see as the projected lineup?

Again, the familiar pairing of Woly and Altidore on top, and the same defense we have had since the trades (at LEAST we have a line SANS FLUX for ONCE).

My opinion? Well, since you asked . . .

Ok, this is what I am seeing - take a page from Mo’s old book, compensate for our injuries and the absence of Angel, and let er rip!

A 4-4-2 that converts closer to a 4-2-2-2.

If Goldthwaite and Freeman want to run it up some, LET THEM, and have Mathis or Schopp at either time scoot on over to the middle of the pitch in an CAM role. That is why I dont want Richards in - let Freeman do the free running, the crossing, and let Schopp and Mathis play clean up behind Altidore and Wolyniec.

My hopes in doing that? Well, hopefully, either one of them scores and starts to heat up. Lets face it - hoping for a trade of Schopp at this point is a moot point. We should start focusing on the improvement of his play so that we can POSSIBLY use him effectively (remember ,the man is a former Austrian Captain), tradebait or not.

And a good Schopp and Mathis is good news for us in RBNYland.
