US Open Cup Showdown At RFK

With everything else happening in the season, I completely glossed over this. The next round of the US Open Cup will be at RFK against rival DC United. Mark your calenders folks – May 20th. 7p.m.

DC qualified this round with a convincing 2-0 shutout of FC Dallas. And, as you may recall, the Red Bulls beat San Jose to advance.

It will be interesting to see what the lineup will look like for this contentious battle. Of course, I need not remind you that a little over a week ago, DC came back from a 2-1 deficit with two goals in less than a minute of extra time to steal a win from under the sleeping Bulls noses. At home no less. Revenge will be heavily on the mind of both the team and fans for this encounter.
