Van Den Bergh Back On The Market

81300378MS004_CHIVAS_USA_V_ SBI reports former Red Bull winger Dave Van Den Bergh’s days as a member of ~~the Dallas Burn~~ FC Dallas are coming to an abrupt end.

With coach Schellas Hyndman continuing to nurture a youth movement, and perhaps to make room for an emerging Brek Shea, Van Den Bergh has been made out to be the odd man. And Red Bull happen to have a left wing spot, with absolutely no prospect to fill it. As a matter of fact, there hasn’t been an answer on the left hand side since . . . well . . . since Dave Van Den Bergh.

Rumors of a possible impromptu reunion floated around the league this past summer, but nothing as solid as this. Would the 33 year old Walking Dutchman be the answer the Bulls are searching for? Or a better question would be who will be making the decision that DVB is or isn’t worth the investment. Nevertheless, he is a name of interest, and the Bulls would be fools not to entertain and examine his addition to the squad.

He should tell his wife that their are better hospitals in New York. Come back DVDB, I'll give you some help with your kid if you want! Who would we have to give up to get him? Hopfully not any draft picks or anymore of our young players

That would be teh awesome - we really missed him last season.

BUT...wasn't the original reason for his move something else? Something to do with his family or his kid? If that reason still stands, I suspect he'll do whatever he can to stay in Dallas.

Dallas doesnt want that aging salary. Bet he can be had for cheap.

They should have never let him go in the first place. We certainly could have used him this past season.

The only problem with it is the fact that Dallas will try to get RB to over-pay for him. Otherwise, go for it.
