Remind me what part of New York is in the Western Conference?

Last I checked you should be in the conference to win the conference. Either do away with the conference system or make it a top 4 and top 4 regardless of who has the best record.

As a fan and season ticket holder, I am happy for the team and will be rooting for a championship win. However, as an MLS and soccer fan, the fact that the 5th best team in the East somehow makes the playoffs and wins the *West* conference is an indictment of the current playoff system.

I think a playoff–not a table system–is the reality for US Soccer, at least for the next several years, but this is something of an embarassment.

unreal huh? feels so good my eyes welled up with tears. this team fought so hard and the coach behaved so bravely – what can I say … in some strange way we almost deserve this
