The hype continues . . . .
For those who picked up the ESPN highlight reels, THIS is the reason 60,000+ will turn out for the game . . .
A few weeks ago, I expressed my thoughts towards the approach the Red Bulls need to take, management and players, to make this event a true success ( BECKHAM IS CONFIRMED 8/1/07)).
The game plan remains the same . . . .
HIGHLIGHT Angel
MATHIS! The character of this club MUST be highlighted!
CAPTAIN AMERICA!
AND OF COURSE, ALTIDORE, THE NEW FACE OF THE AMERICAN YOUTH MOVEMENT!
GET DEMA INVOLVED (if his injuries have subsided of course)
AND PLAY YOUR ASS OFF!!!!
Our characters need to shine. Run that Altidore commercial alongside Beckhams. Get down to the field and speak to Arena during the game. Prepare vignettes highlighting some of our best goal scorers (Altidore and Angel have had highlight reel goals all year). And get up close and personal with the fan base of the Red Bulls! Highlight ESC, Kearney, RBNation and the rest of those fine folks, and show Americans WHAT THEY ARE MISSING OUT ON!
I will be there, amongst the crowd, taking pics throughout the game, maybe even providing a home made video for this little blog here. The experience shall be shared for all to enoy (especially after we thrash those Hollywood wannabes).
What is your take on this game?

And ultimately, how do you feel about Beckham selling out Giants Stadium?
And the new faces you will be seeing in the usually cavernous Giants Stadium?

I will be there, corner flag, section 137 with a whole bunch of my family. Of course it will be another home game for me, but it will be “The Beckham game” for everyone else. Oi vey.
