SINISA and DEMA - Car Accident
This story only broke a few days ago, but life has thrown my blog a curveball, so I will be on the late end of this story (which isnt that bad! bigapplesoccer.com just picked up on the FIFA 08 Altidore story!).
Here goes. Dema was the front passenger, Sinisa was either driving or in the back seat. They got into an undescribed car accident (seriously, no pictures anywhere, no news outlet details, nothing), where Dema suffered facial injuries requiring stitches. Sinisa was good enough to practice the next day, and Dema was also in attendance, but his status was unclear for our game against TFC, according to Ives.

You all know how I feel about Dema. Luckily, we are facing a rather banged up and depleted TFC. But it doesnt mean we still wont need his presence on the field. No one brings the pain like Dema.
Practice Facility - Hanover

The News keeps getting Brighter for our Practice Facilities
Thanks to bigapplesoccer.com for that story.
Hey . . . we need some good news sent our way (or just Goodness as Opie would say)! This looks promising, but I will not comment any further, for fear of something bad happening . . . like . . . .
RBNY Park OFFICIALLY Delayed
In a letter to season ticket holders last week, Mr. De Grandpre officially confirmed what we have all suspected for months - the stadium will not be opened on time. Whether its the environmental waste, the mine field, or the lochness monster, we all saw this coming.

I think RBNY gets a slight pass for this. A SLIGHT PASS.
BUT. One more delay, and we may all be saying, IN ONE LOUD AND LOVELY VOICE, SAME OLD METRO.
Claudio Reyna - Rumor Killer
Mr. Galarcep (whom is pwning me pretty hard in the SBI Fantasy league . . . ) had a a short interview with Captain America. He asked the omnipresent question that follows Reyna like LA SMOG - Are you going to retire?
“I feel good right now and I’ve been able to play most of the season, except for some games early in the season,” Reyna said. “I can still keep up with these young guys so right now I’m focused on this year and next year and I’ll think about what’s next after that.”
The doubters are everywhere. Can Reyna really hack it in this physical league? I continue to keep my fingers crossed, both as a big fan, and a RBNY supporter. A Reyna, in form, would be devastating to our opposition. Is this possible? Reyna thinks so. I pray he is right.
GRAHAM SCORES!
Taylor Graham endured the wonderful title of “8 Foot Tall Whooping Boy” with the RBNY fans throughout his short but memorable (for non soccer reasons of course) tenure with the Bulls.
But now, the USL Defending Machine is BACK! And he is SCORING in the US OPEN CUP!

As a member of the Seattle Sounders, Lurch has found a home, and he is finding the back of the net. GOOD FOR YOU GOLIATH! GOOD FOR YOU!
A Day @ Central Park . . .
You have company picnics right? Where your firm decides HEY! Lets spend a day at a park, getting drunk, playing softball, and chasing after loved ones? Yea, so do the Red Bulls.
But they do it with a twist. No Softball - just soccer. The Red Bulls v. Steve Nash and his pals. Maybe if we get a redbulls.theoffside.com team, we can take em on too . . . . I call goalkeeper!
Thanks have to go to one of the best American Blog sites on the net - This is American Soccer with Adam Spangler. Read the story, I wont spoil the details. And enjoy the pics!
====================================================================
PHEW! Thank GOODNESS! That is my update for this week! A TFC preview is coming up! So stay tuned to the same Bat Blog. Or something.
