WANCHOPE to RBNY – what went wrong . . .

In light of Wanchope’s debut in the Chicago Fire, and with a little googling, I found it!

ARROYAVE: The New York Red Bulls were reportedly interested in signing you earlier this season. What happened?
WANCHOPE: They play on artificial turf (Giants Stadium). I didn’t like that. I had surgery on my knee five years ago. Every week I do strength work to take care of it. I have to have good communication with the coaching staff and medical staff to keep it strong. My knee doesn’t bother me as long I do what I need to do during the week.
So it boiled down to Giants Stadium huh? Our lovely home CONTINUES to be the bane of our collective existences.
