A Message From The Galaxy Blog (aka Another Lost Bet!!!)

Here’s the post I wanted to write.
So, after 90 minutes of playing in the sweltering mid-summer humidity of the Northeast and taking every opportunity to boo David Beckham in his return to MLS and the Los Angeles Galaxy for the 2009 season, we are left with this.
(1) The last time the Galaxy has to play on the raggedy carpet in the Swamplands ends in the first Galaxy victory there since 2000.
(2) The smoking hulk of Alfredo Pacheco who went up like a Bronx tenement in the 1970’s put to the torch by Landon Donovan.
(3) The sight of Juan Pablo Angel bricking a penalty kick, no doubt out of being on the receiving end of the kind of service that reminds one of a McDonalds run by tweakers.
(4) The greatest case of ball-watching in a midfield this side of gay porn.
In honor of this spectacular display, LA Galaxy Offside reader Glen came up with this picture that captures both the tenor of the game and the kind of season ya’ll are having
But, I read that over and I thought about how I felt about the MetroBulls and how much I like Angel, Stammler, Petke, Kandji, Hall and Zimmerman and how much I want the team to be competitive and I had to rewrite it. So here’s the actual one.
Dear RBNY Fans,
There’s always the CONCACAF Champions League. Don’t play there in the manner exemplified by this picture created by LA Galaxy Offside reader Glen.

Hey that hurts, we’re not red sheep… we’re pink cows. Get it right.
And really is that the best attempt galaxy fans can make at making fun of our team? I can probibly make fun of the red bulls better than they did, and I’m a red bull supporter.
Are the galaxy fans really in a position to make fun of other teams? Their two highest profile players shared a public dispute, Your most famous player is a lieing fraud, and even though you’re shown preferential treatment by the commissioner and league you still manage to only be average at best.Posted from

Lou, whatever you think about our efforts at coming up with a harsh graphic, there is one thing that is still true: 2-14-4 vs. 6-3-9. We may not be the best.

you forgot to add that NYRB might not hold the MLS trophy just like NE Revs.. Could I add to this blog from the Crew side of it? I think I might have some pics of the Championship Rings that my boys got and the horrible expressions of NYRB. love you guys!

Oh good grief. We’re getting better and will make the playoffs for the first time in 3 years. You guys are about to have the worst season in the history of the league.
We’re doing it with the former RBNY coach plus Dunivant, Buddle, Magee, and Eskandarian.
If that’s a joke, then I’m laughing all the way to the post season.
WTF? I like all the teams in MLS. I want RBNY to do well in the CCF. I like all MLS fans. I even like you.

Nathan, all i’m doing is defending my team because your team took a cheap shot at us. Your club is definetly less than desireable, if a real team made fun of us like houston or chicago maybe I could grit my teeth and let it go, but criticism from one joke team to another is just rediculous. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

That’s not a cheap shot, that’s your blogger losing a bet. A cheap shot would have been us posting that on our blog and then linking to it in the comments of every post by Dave for a week.
We have the same bet going with Laurie and her readers for the Seattle game. If we lose, we post what she writes, just like Dave did here earlier. Again, not a cheap shot. Losing a bet.
