Our MLS Fantasy League (And a Weekend Poll)
By: Dave Martinez | March 13th, 2009I will be running an MLS Fantasy League for our entire MLS blogging community, and I want you there!
Depending on participation, I am looking to somehow come up with a first, second and third place prize to particpants. If we don’t have many people, we can always resort to a winner takes all system.
Here is what you need to know:
Go to MLSnet.com
Click the FANTASY button
Sign up your team
Look for a league, and type the following:
League Name: TheOffside
Password: garber
(case sensitive)
Its that easy.
I look forward to seeing you all there!
Meanwhile . . . your Weekend Poll:
Which Osorio signing will have the biggest impact this season?
REMEMBER: I am still looking for a humiliating picture to put on the Seattle Sounders page if the Red Bulls win (here is the bet). Email me your entries to daveredbulls@hotmail.com

You know I was at MSG today for a job fair, and RBNY was supposed to be there. So I walk over to their booth and theres just a letter on the table that says management couldn’t make it…leave a resume. >:0 There was like 50 resumes in the stack, I seriously wanted to take all the other resumes and throw them in the garbage and only leave mine behind.

I joined Ives’ league for the FSC MLS Fantasy game, which is the one linked to from MLSNet.com, but if you create a fantasy league in the ESPNSoccernet MLS Fantasy game, I will definitely join your league!
Unfortunately on the FSC version, it’s not possible to join two leagues at the same time. In any case, I don’t really love their version, I actually like the ESPNSoccernet game better (although it also has some major problems).

Carlos Johnson should sign and play a big role.

I voted other, Jeremy Hall at right back.
Low expectations to start with. JH is a rookie, playing out of position and an American signing (I joke!). Huge impact if JH can become the automatic first choice at right back. An intelligent defender who can attack and pass.
Also wears the number 17 shirt. Gotta be good!

That is actually a great selection Chic. The kid can really cause some damage, and at this age, is already ahead of the progress of say a Marvell Wynne at the same age (seen him play a lil).
You may be on the money for sure.
And no one goes wrong with 17!

Gene! missed your comments, and sucks that you won’t be in the league. If you change you mind, shoot back on over (ive done that in the past).
Though Ives does rock . . .

So is this the kind of thing I can promote even if I’m a SEATTLE fan?
