- It is going to take 10 straight wins out of the remaining 10 to reach 40 points, a magic number of sorts for the MLS playoffs.

- I should stop keeping track of plausible playoff scenarios.

- David Beckham is getting hammered out there!

- I am thinking of buying a Toyota Matrix. Sweet little car, but a far cry from my 2002 Ford Explorer XLT.

- Brian Lewis is reporting a modest offer has been made to forward Veljko Paunovic, who has apparently been able to create quite the chemistry with Juan Pablo Angel in practice situations. Where does that leave Woly (presumably the odd man out).

- When will we see Carlos Johnson, Ernst Obster and Leo Krupnik on the field? What impact will they have? Who will be losing minutes? Who will be gaining them?

- When will Bouna Coundoul officially be named the starter till years end?

- What the hell ever happened to the ~~WWF~~ WWE? They have completely given up on the idea of a storyline. ZZ Top is playing GM tonight? Give me a friggen break!

- What is Juan Carlos Osorio’s notebook reading like now adays? “This is the best plan ever. This game will be an easy wi . . . . oof. Another early goal.” “No chance a goal makes it in extra time again this wee . . . . . damnit.” “What is that smell? RE: Team stinks.” “I won’t use the 4-5-1, I won’t use the 4-5-1, I won’t . . . ” Something like that.

- I hate the freakin’ plastic turf at Giant Stadium. It has cursed this team and franchise for far too long. When your field is being measured for its crapiness against Costa Rican pitches, you know you are in trouble.

- Will Red Bull Arena’s grass pitch immediately improve this teams performance? I expect it will wake up Angel next year, if he sticks around (cross fingers people).

- Will Petke stick around another year?

- Why didn’t Glen call me to go see Paul McCartney yesterday at Citifield?! I will have to have a word with my mustachioed friend.

- With all of this talk about a possible signing to draw fans, I would spend my money for year one on Figo. I know he is ancient, but the Portuguese community would immediately identify with the team. That kind of continuous support translates into a larger fan base. I don’t know about DP money, but maybe a set up close to Schelotto’s original contract. I dunno . . . .

- I can’t wait to go home. And watch RAW. Sigh.
